Incidentally, my Ass!
In The Amnesty Fraud, Thomas Sowell writes the following:
"Incidentally, remember that 700-mile fence that Congress authorized last year? Only two miles have been built. That should tell us something about how seriously they are going to enforce other border security provisions in the current bill."
Shenanigans!

Petrochemical Reality Check
George Will writes "Posturing at the Pumps" in today's Washington Post, where he notes that consumers are being gouged by their governments rather than the oil companies.
"While oil companies make about 13 cents on a gallon of gasoline, the federal
government makes 18.4 cents (the federal tax) and California's various
governments make 40.2 cents (the nation's third-highest gasoline tax). Pelosi's
San Francisco collects a local sales tax of 8.5 percent -- higher than the
state's average for local sales taxes."

Norman Podhoretz, writing in Commentary Magazine (online):
"In short, the plain and brutal truth is that if Iran is to be prevented from developing a nuclear arsenal, there is no alternative to the actual use of military force—any more than there was an alternative to force if Hitler was to be stopped in 1938."

The Global Warming Racket
"That’s what the global-warming protection racket is about: Hey, we can’t prove anything is actually happening, but look how many people we’ve got to agree with us! You’d better make a whole bunch of sacrifices which, by coincidence, exactly coincide with the political agenda of the anti-Western anti-industrial religion of ecodeism—or global warming will get you!"
